Aristocracy beat AVANGAR; seal DH Summer playoff spot

Aristocracy punched their ticket to the DreamHack Open Summer 2019 playoffs after defeating AVANGAR 16-14 on Overpass.

The Group A winners' match took place on Overpass where Aristocracy started on the CT-side and won the pistol round with a 5vs5 retake. After taking two more rounds, the Poles fell victim to Timur "⁠buster⁠" Tulepov who picked up three Deagle kills (3-1).

The CIS team followed it up with four more rounds to lead 5-3 but Karol "⁠rallen⁠" Rodowicz responded with a triple Deagle kill of his own in the ninth round to make it 5-4. The back-and-forth first half concluded with AVANGAR's 8-7 lead as the Kazakhstani team secured the final two rounds.

TaZ and company are through to the playoffs

Aristocracy managed to plant the bomb in all three rounds to start the second half but couldn't win any (11-7). Dzhami "⁠Jame⁠" Ali then made it 12-7 with an AWP ace on the A-site. rallen clutched a 1vs3 in the following round to secure Aristocracy's first T-side round (12-8).

Aristocracy won a 3vs5 in the 23rd round and had a chance to tie the game but AVANGAR picked up the following round victory to make it 13-11. The Polish team tied the game two rounds later by winning a 2vs4 post-plant on the B-site. Aristocracy took the penultimate round to earn one match points and closed out the game with a 16-14 score.
